Here is the pdf link for my recent article about Spotted Wing Drosophila (SWD) in cherries. I have briefly summarized the current pest status, and available monitoring and management options for this pest in cherry. SWD belongs to Drosophilid group (commonly known as vinegar flies), and has a unique cabability to cause damage on healthy and ripening fruits. Most susceptible hosts are many small and soft fruits including cherries.
